The Amsterdam Tulip Museum is located in a small canal house in the charming Jordaan neighbourhood and is sat cosily amidst intimate boutique shops, galleries, cafes and restaurants.

The small but dynamic museum captivates visitors all year round with varied exhibits by local artists dedicated to informing people about the special history of the tulip, which held some great economic power in the Dutch Golden Age during the mid-seventeenth century, including a phenomenon called 'Tulipomania'. It is a great place to visit for the whole family, plus people generally interested in flowers and gardening, with the chance to purchase bulbs of all variations from the gift shop. Kids will also be fascinated by the beautifully decorated rooms, colourful pictures, and a fairy-tale-like depiction of the voyage of the tulip from Turkey to Holland carved in wood.

It also has a gift shop where you can find lots of tulip-themed souvenirs to take home to our friends and family.

Please note: Not wheel-chair friendly
