Situated in the beautiful location canal side, housed in a 17th-century house at Herengracht you'll find the Dutch Costume Museum.

 

It presents all the Dutch traditional costumes, history, fashion, design and heritage, all-in-one place. Come and discover the worldwide influences in the costumes brought by the Dutch East India Company in the 17th century.

From July 2018 to January 2019 a collection of contemporary fashion designers works will be on display, all of which was inspired by Dutch costume

Workshops

There are regular workshops for children, students and groups where you can learn different Dutch techniques and crafts within the fashion world, a perfect hands-on afternoon for the creative visitors.

Costume Photography

Whether you're visiting with friends or family, come and stop by the photo studio and get photographed in the traditional Dutch attire, it's great fun and the perfect souvenir or gift to take home with you
