Museum Willet-Holthuysen is based in a beautiful double canalside building dating from the eighteenth century. It tells the story of the rich married couple Louisa and Abraham Willet- Holthuysen, the building’s last residents in the nineteenth century. The couple left the house, including its fixtures and fittings and art collection, as a legacy to the city of Amsterdam.
